Social

The club endeavours to organise social events and activities throughout the year.

AGM

The main social event is the London Clarets Annual General Meeting, which usually takes place in early July. As well as a chance for members to hear about what's been happening with the club and to elect Committee members for the following year. The AGM has hosted a number of high profile guests from Burnley FC over recent years. We have been pleased to welcome Mike Garlick, Barry Kilby, John Banaszkiewicz, Dave Baldwin and Paul Fletcher amongst others. For many years our Honorary President Peter Pike (ex-MP for Burnley) was a regular attendee.

Pre-match Pub Meets

The London Clarets always try and arrange a meeting pub before games in the London area, details of which are sent to members and advertised on social media channels.

Every couple of years or so, we will arrange a full pre/post match social with a buffet and hopefully a special guest, these are increasingly difficult to organise given the late confirmation of most Premier League fixtures!  The last one was before the Crystal Palace game in December 2018.

Quiz Team

The club participates in the Home Counties Football Quiz League and are currently holders of both the League and Cup trophies.  Even with that success the team is always on the look out for new players, contact us if you might be interested.

Darts Team

For many years the London Clarets were a mainstay of the APFSCIL Darts League but retirements and availability of players forced us to to make a tough decision and withdraw from the league for the 2018/19 season. We did however play in the Cup competition to keep things ticking over but were beaten in the preliminary round so the season was very short!

If you are interested in playing darts do get in touch as it would be nice to be able to enter the league again at some point in the future.

On occasions the club has also organised other events such as cinema and theatre trips.
